Selection Criteria for Heliodyssey 2019

The final applicants will be chosen primarily based on an online MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) examinations conducted throughout the country scheduled for November 3,2019 2019 (tentatively).The result of the same shall be announced on 11th November 2019. Students will also be chosen based on their academic performance, participation in science events, clubs and projects.

The seats available for Heliodyssey 2019 are very limited and will be allocated based on the selection criteria
provided in the table below.

1 Online Multiple-Choice Question-based Exam- SHOT-2019 (Space Heliodyssey Test 2019). 80 %
2 Applicants who are a member of any Astronomy Club in India 5%
3 Applicants who have participated in any outreach event conducted by SPACE India (Project Paridhi, All India Asteroid Search Campaign, EarthKAM, Global Astronomy Month, World Space Week, National SPACE Debate Competition, National AstroPodcast Competition). If participated in one or multiple events same weight age shall be given to all.
(Note: If the candidate does not have a hard copy of their certificate they can also provide us other details regarding the event like the year, name of the event etc. or any other satisfactory proof shall valid)
4 Prize in any school-based individual extracurricular activity (Elocution/Debate/Essay Writing, science quiz, computer modelling, scientific prototype model making, etc.,) at District/State/National/International Level (The higher level will be considered for weight age) 2/4/6/10 %
