Syllabus for Heliodyssey 2019

Syllabus for Space Heliodyssey Test 2019 is divided into two groups i.e. Group 1 for 6th to 8th and Group 2 for 9th to 12th. Level of questions for category 1 (6th to 8th) will be of class 3rd to 5th and for category 2 (9th to 12th)questions will be of class 6th to 8th level.

For classes Class 6th to 8th

  • Food, Shelter, Animals, Water, Travel, Plants, and Birds.
  • General Maths*
  • Shapes,number sequence, numbers and operations, mental arithmetic, fractional numbers, money, measurements, data handling,and patterns.
  • General Knowledge
  • Current affairs related to astronomy and space science, important dates in space exploration and astronomy.
  • Geography
  • Latitudes and longitudes, Rocks and soil, Formation of Earth, Motion of earth etc.
  • Astronomy and Space Science
  • Solar System, Names and Distances
  • Basic Astronomical Facts
  • Structure of Sun
  • Suns apparent motion in the sky
  • Eclipses, geometry of earth, sun and moon.
  • Sun, characteristics, solar energy etc.
  • Directions and their basic understanding
  • Living in Space
  • Galaxies
  • Comets, Asteroids & Meteors
  • Constellations, galaxies, nebulae and their classification (structur and composition)
  • Basics of night sky observation
    Myth Busting

Famous Astronomers and Astronauts: Neil Armstrong, Kalpana Chawla, Sunita Williams,Yuri Gagarin, Galileo Galilei, Edwin Hubble, Issac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Charles Messier.
